Evelyn Rose is here!

I had her on October 4, at 10:31 after being induced the night before. They had given me the gels, the first one went all right and the second, well…was so painful that I felt like I was going to die. I stared vomiting uncontrollably and my BP went up. they gave me Staidol and then admitted me. By that time I really was in so much pain even though I didn’t want an epidural, I got one. Then I took a nap (Passed out is more like it) at a dilation of three and woke up two hours later, and I was dilated to an eight! About and hour later I was pushing and almost two hours after that she was here! I got out 24 hours later and only have a couple of stitches. The labor was fine but, being induced was probably the most painful thing I have ever been through. I felt like I was being skinned alive! Scary! But she is here and healthy! Yay! 7 lbs 13 oz and 20 inches long. She looks just like her Daddy and is absolutely the most beautiful ever !

Squids!

So, I have an obsession with this squid fabric...I just finished off the last of it on a quilt for the baby. The Nicky cat was helping model it already. It has some embroidery on the border and also has her name on the lower corner.
I have actually knit and finished a project. We call her Sally!
I wanted to make a more correct looking one but, for an infant this one will do just fine. Made out of some left over Malabrigo worsted weight. So soft, so awesome. Well, I only have about a month left so I can finish some more projects before she gets here!

Sewing and sewing and sewing....

So, I am about 29 weeks now and I am feeling really good. Evey is doing good in there. She dances for tacos and loves when I eat cold stuff. I made 2 dresses, one today and one earlier this
week. They are made of this wonderful Heather Ross fabric made by Free Spirit fabrics. She
I really love how they turned out. I have about four or six more fat quarters I can use to make more!

I made a top for myself as well but it doesn't fit so I think I will sell it. My belly was too big. I had made it out of Alexander Henry "Regency" fabric. I love the way it turned out. The skull print is really neat and I have enough left over for a baby dress. I just wish the damn thing fit. Ugh!

Well, that's really all I have for now!

Wow!

So this week has been very challenging. I thought my gallbladder was bad so I went to the ER and they told me that I am pregnant! I all I could say was "Are you fucking kidding me?" and cry. The doctor had told me that this could not happen! Doctors can be so full of it sometimes! My hubby and I are super excited and hoping everything will go okay. I am only seven weeks at this point, so anything could happen and we are prepared for that. We just want a full term healthy baby.
Anywho, Awesome!
Oh, the vomiting not so good. Yech.

Newsflash!! Baby Sweater Knitted, Hell Freezes Over!!

So, I finally finished a store model that I started in, like, October. It killed me. All seed stitch, including even the pocket liners. Debbie Bliss, I stab at thee! It is a pretty sweater, but finding out you probably can't have children while knitting a baby sweater... not so desirable. I cried and could not work on it for the longest time. I am so glad to have it done and of course I have some pictures! My husband has also grown a beard and it is super sexy! I have started some socks for my mom in Mama Blue Troika: Talula. They are the Cookie A, BFF socks. They are pretty easy so far, cuff down is always easier for me.

This Mama Blue is some sweet yarn. Cashmere and Merino, fiber of the Gods. I traded someone for it and I hope it will be perfect for this socks. Hopefully, things will be going better for me soon, right now things suck, but maybe something good will appear around the corner.
